There are two ways to accomplish this: Heating and flexing.
Heating: Using a butane lighter of any type (not a
mini torch) heat the inside of the glass directly behind the damaged
area for 3 seconds. Note: If you can’t hold the back of
your finger to glass it is too hot.
If there is remaining air the leg will open up and you will see the
resin flow in. By heating the inside layer of glass only, it expands
and pushes up on the top layer opening up the leg and allowing the
resin to flow in. Repeat if necessary to remove all remaining
air.
Flexing: Using a steel probe or pick, gently apply pressure
directly on top of the leg as close to the injector seal as you can
get. This flexes the leg open and allows the resin to flow in.
To see the leg open up and the resin flow in you must look at the
leg at about a 30 degree angle perpendicular to the leg. You must keep
a constant pressure on the glass until the leg completely fills.
